Get stuck in to the Big Science Event @ Home

Get your children involved with the Big Science Event at Home from Science Oxford (UK). It's open to all ages, and you can enter on your own or in a small group.

Here's what you need to know:

1. Come up with a question

All you need to do is come up with a question, think of a way of investigating it, record what you’ve done and tell Science Oxford all about it!

2. Share your investigation by 13th July

When you’ve finished your investigation, fill in the short online form and upload your entry.You can use a short video (maximum 2 mins), a poster, a photo diary or a written report. Entry is free!

3. Get ready for the results on 20th July

The judging panel will announce the results and award the prizes! (Prizes include playground equipment for your school, science subscriptions and tickets to the Science Oxford Centre when they reopen.)

Carry out your own investigation and take part in the Big Science Event at Home. All you need to do is come up with a question, think of a way of investigating it, record what you’ve done and tell us all about it! We’ve lots of ideas to get you thinking and resources to help you plan and record your investigation but what you choose to investigate is completely up to you! The Big Science Event at Home is open to all ages. You can work on your own or with your family, with a friend via Zoom or even in a small group at school. There are lots of great prizes too!
