Do you have a budding artist in your family? Maybe they'd like to enter the Royal Academy of Arts Young Artist's Summer Show?

Who can enter?

Young artists aged 5 - 19 years studying in the UK and British schools overseas.

How do you enter?

Get your child's school to register first, and then your child (if 13 or over) can submit artworks themselves, or you can register your child if they are 12 or under.

What sort of artwork can be submitted?

It can be a painting, sculpture, photograph, installation, video, drawing, or a combination.

What is the theme?

There is no theme so artworks can be on any subject.

When is the closing date?

Submissions close on 26 April 2021.

More information can be found on the Royal Academy of Arts website.

Last year the judges reviewed nearly 18,000 submissions, and selected 392 artworks now displayed online. You can take a look at the incredibly inspiring artworks by viewing the 2020 exhibition online.

Now in its third year, the Young Artists’ Summer Show is a free, open submission exhibition for students aged 5 - 19 studying in the UK and British schools overseas. Artworks are judged by artists and arts professionals with selected artworks displayed online and on-site at the Royal Academy of Arts.
